It's no secret that I'm a huge lover of TV shows as there's just something so great and exciting about discovering a new show to binge watch. Over the last month or so, I've been hooked on a couple of new shows which I thought I'd share with you since I know that some of you out there may be looking for something new to obsess over.
1) Parks and Recreation
"The comedic minds that brought you The Office and Saturday Night Live have now conspired to create Parks and Recreation. Amy Poehler plays Leslie Knope, a mid-level government employee who is trying to convert an abandoned construction pit into a usable community park while a documentary camera crew follows her every step and misstep."

Two words: Chris Pratt. That is all. Lol just kidding, as much as I love Chris Pratt's character (Andy) in it, the whole show and characters are brilliant. I feel as though I'm reliving my summer when I would watch The US Office all day, every day and just be crying with laughter...I'm still so mad Netflix got rid of it. Well anyways, this is my new obsession and is a perfect show to watch when you're feeling down and just need a good old laugh (trust me). If you follow me on snapchat then you'll have noticed that I keep posting my favourite Christ Pratt moments on there hahah. My favourite characters are Andy (duh), Ben, Tom, Leslie and Ron...pretty much everyone.

2) The 100
"Set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, when a spaceship housing humanity's lone survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth in hopes of possibly re-populating the planet. The teens arrive on a beautiful planet they've only seen from space. Confronting the dangers of this rugged new world, they struggle to form a tentative community. However they discover that not all humanity was wiped out. There are people on Earth who survived the war, called "grounders" by the 100. The teens quickly discover they are not welcome by the hostile grounders and must band together in order to survive."

On the lead up to the premier of season 3 last week I began to rewatch season 2 in order to remind myself of everything that happened. I love this show so I think it's a shame that a lot of people haven't heard of it/watched it before. I love Bellamy and Clarke's relationship (praying for them to finally acknowledge their feelings for each other in season 3!) as well as the storylines in general. This show is packed full of action and excitement with really complex storylines.

3) Revolution
"Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution. On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future."

Revolution has become my latest obsession and I spent the week before last binge watching it (I'm not even ashamed). Sadly there are only two seasons (both of which are available on Amazon Prime) which is so frustrating since they left the show on such a cliffhanger and I'm never going to be able to have my questions answered. I'm going to be completely honest and say that one of the main appeals of this show is General Sebastian Monroe, played by the talented David Lyons who I have a crush on in season 2. His relationship with the main, female protagonist (Charlie) gets so interesting in season 2 so I'm gutted there's not another season for them to explore this relationship further. I also think the concept of having no power is such a cool idea in this modern age. Like The 100, this show is fast paced and action packed.
