I would much rather spend a few days exploring an exciting, busy city than have a relaxing two vacation in Spain spent lounging around the beach or pool. I feel as though wandering round a foreign city is way more fulfilling and fun. I've been lucky enough to have visited various cities over the years from Paris to New York, however there's just so many more cities out there that I really want to go to. Below are 5 cities I've heard wonderful things about and hope to visit soon.
I can't remember when I first fell in love with San Francisco, but after obsessing over the latest Planet of The Apes film series at the end of last year, I decided that I must visit at least once in my life. Of course, the Golden Gate bridge is incredibly iconic, but I love the city itself: the steep inclines (I would not fancy driving in this city with all the hill starts...Princess Diaries anyone?) and the trams and the just the vibe itself. I think this is a beautiful city that is just so different from any other city I've visited before. California is a beautiful state to host so many wonderful cities! I'm jealous of any of you Californians out there.
I had never even given much thought about Copenhagen before until I saw the snapchat story of it a while ago and thought it looked lovely. I'm also a huge theme park fan, so I'd love to visit Tivoli world.
If you follow me on Twitter, then it's no surprise to learn I'm a huge Game Of Thrones fan, and visiting a place where it's actually filmed would actually be amazing. Old Town just looks absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to have a long wander down the streets.
Ever since my Dad went to Chicago for work a few years ago and told me about just how cool the windy city is, I've been wanting to go. A lot of people compare it to New York which I absolutely loved, so I'm sure Chicago would be right up my street. Of course, the major tourist destinations are a must such as the Cloud Gate but I also think the Chicago River deserves a visit which is pictured above. I'm sure there are a lot of great sites here that I'd recognise from film backgrounds.
My sister went interRailing last summer and whilst google searching for photographs of all the places she'd be travelling to, Prague certainly caught my interest. I think it looks so beautiful! I would love to go around autumn time when the leaves begin to change shades like the photo above.

What cities have you been to? What are your favourite destinations and why?
